Faculty & Staff
Each teacher and staff member is committed to Catholic Education. The dedication, commitment, professionalism and gospel witness in each of our teachers is the core of our Catholic school’s success. In the years ahead, our teachers’ partnership with the parents and clergy will keep St. Michael School a vital and living part of the Church’s educational ministry in the 21st century.

Teaching Staff
As educators, our teachers have made a vital contribution to our school. This can be attested by our:
• High academic scores
• Number of our students in high school honor classes
• Various awards and scholarships received through the years in English, Art, Science, and Math
• Many success stories of our alumni all over the world.

The faculty consists of a Sister of Notre Dame and lay teachers who are state certified and fully qualified.

St. Michael's Teachers are experienced . . .
• Dedicated individuals with an average of 15 years of education experience;
• Valued educators with over 300 years of combined teaching experience;
• Specialized instructors in music, art, computer, band and physical education, to name a few.

Are qualified...
• All are Certified by the State of Ohio;
• All have their Bachelor's Degree, several have Master's Degrees;
• All have their Diocesan Religion Certificate.
• Provide a Stable Environment for your Child...

Over the past ten years, the teaching staff has remained virtually constant.

• Among those we are fortunate to have on our staff,
• An author and public speaker;
• A presenter and author of Junior High Curriculum;
• Two teachers who have held offices in the International Reading Association.
• A member of the Who's Who of American Teachers;
• A Music Education teacher who is a piano accompanist for Blossom Music Center and an instructor at the Cleveland Institute of Music.

School Advisory Council
An offspring of the partnership between St. Basil parish and St. Michael parish, as well as the friendship between Fr. Carl and Fr. Walt, resulted in the formation of our Interparish School Advisory Board—one of the first of its kind in the diocese.

The Board is composed of members of both parishes—parents, members of the finance committees and other parish representatives—plus pastors, principals and parish staff. It meets regularly to advise the pastors and school administrators in forming policies and practices, designed to help St. Michael School meet its mission: To promote high academic standards while forming each child according to Catholic Tradition and Gospel Value.

St. Michael School Foundation

The St. Michael School Foundation provides a unique opportunity for our teachers and school. The Foundation, which was established by the PTU, makes financial grants to teachers for educational enrichment materials for their classrooms. In the last two school years, the Foundation has awarded 27 grants, in excess of $8,000. Examples of materials purchased include a continent set, card games for geometry, math manipulatives, speaking dictionary and thesaurus, human skeleton, heart rate monitors, biographies on CD-Rom and many more. This is a "win-win" for our teachers, our children, and our school.

You can make your gift by check, or contact Mrs. Margaret Campisi at the school 216-524-6405 for more information.
