ST. MICHAEL SCHOOL INFORMATION NIGHT & OPEN HOUSES SCHEDULED - 2011
INFORMATION NIGHT: St. Michael School will hold Preschool and Kindergarten Information Night on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 6:30p.m., in the St. Basil Parish Education Center, 8700 Brecksville Road. This opportunity is for parents interested in Catholic elementary education for their children. It will include a history of the school, the preschool and kindergarten philosophy, an overview of the curriculum and information on screening procedures.
OPEN HOUSE: An Open House will be held on Sunday, February 6 from 11:00 a.m. until 1 p.m. at St. Michael School, located at 6906 Chestnut Road in Independence. Families are also invited to the St. Basil Education Center from 12:30 pm - 1:30 p.m. to view the preschool, jr. kindergarten, kindergarten, and first grade campus.
PERSONAL TOUR DATES: Families interested in receiving a personal tour of the St. Michael School or St. Basil campus during school hours can call Mrs. Margaret Campisi at 216/524-6405.
REGISTRATION: Re-registration Week and Sibling Registration will be held the week of January 31, at the Main Campus from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
New Student Registration Week is February 7, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Main campus. Kindergarten and students transferring from other schools may register at the main campus. Preschool, and Jr. Kindergarten registration is at the St. Basil campus.
St. Michael School registration for new students (K-8) will take place from 9am-2pm in the main school office at 6906 Chestnut Road, Independence as follows:
For your registration to be accepted, you must present the following items: 1. Child's Baptismal Record 2. Child's Birth Certificate 3. Child' Immunization Records 4. Child's Social Security Number 5. Copy of Child's last Report Card if registering for grades 1-8 6. A $200 fee is due with the Registration Form. This is a non-refundable fee.
7. Custodial Papers - In case of divorce or separation, a certified copy of the court order which states who has custody of the child.
8. Letter from the pastor of your church if other than St. Michael parishioner.
Your child's registration cannot be processed until the above requirements have been completed. Registrations received after the formal registration period ending March 1, 2011 will be accepted as they are received.
